SISTERS OF CHRISTIAN CHARITY STATEMENT ON HUMAN TRAFFICKING

On fire with the LOVE of Christ
and impelled to carry Christ’s LIGHT into the world
by becoming living memories of Christ’s LIFE,
the Sisters of Christian Charity have heard the cries
of a world plagued by destruction and broken relationships.
Conscious of our own dignity and giftedness as women,
we strive to respond to situations
in which the dignity of women is violated.
Therefore, we commit ourselves
 – at local, national, and international levels –
to awareness, advocacy, and action
on behalf of victims of human trafficking.
Through collaboration and networking, we will strive
to bring Christ’s light into the darkness of those affected
by this modern-day slavery, especially women and children.
