VILLA PAULINE RETREAT HOUSE is on the same property as Assumption College for Sisters, the Quellen Spiritual Center, and the Motherhouse of the Sisters of Christian Charity.

Coming From the West:

Follow Rt. 80 East to the exit for Rt.  206 South toward Somerville.  Continue on Rt. 206 to Chester.  At the light in Chester make a sharp left onto Rt. 24 East, which goes into Mendham.  After passing St. Joseph Church on your right, at the light make a right onto County Rt. 525 that is Hilltop Road.  After about 1.5 miles you will see a sign on the left Sisters of Christian Charity, which indicates the entrance to our property.  Because this is a steep hill, in inclement weather continue along Hilltop Rd. to the second entrance on the left.

Also Coming From The West:

Follow Rt. 78 East to the exit for Rt. 287 North toward Morristown.  Take exit 26B for Bernardsville/Mt. Airy Rd.  At the end of the ramp continue to the right.  This will be County Route 525.  Just before the traffic light bear right to continue straight from about 3 miles.  The road changes name a few times, so continue to follow 525 N.  From the center of Bernardsville to the entrance to the Sisters of Christian Charity property about 3 miles after the right.  On the right is a large white sign that marks the entrance.

Coming From New York City and East:

Follow Rt. 80 West to Rt. 287 South.  Take exit 30B, Bernardsville.  At the end of the exit ramp, go straight to the right.  Turn left onto Rt. 202 South.  At the center of Bernardsville, a few miles along Rt. 202 S., a flagpole stands at the center of the triangle.  Bear right at the point of the triangle and turn right onto County Route 525, also known as Anderson Rd.  Rt. 525 has a few changes in street name but it will always be 525 N.  Continue for about 3 miles after the light to our entrance.  The sign is on the right.

Also Coming From the East:

Follow Rt.78 West to the exit 33 for Bernardsville/Martinsville County Rt. 525 North toward Bernardsville (a right turn at the end of the traffic ramp.  This will be the County Rt. 525 (Mt. Airy Road).  Follow this route into Bernardsville.  At the center of Bernardsville continue straight for about 3 miles.  The road changes name a few times, so continue to follow 525 N.  From the center of Bernardsville to the entrance to the Sisters of Christian Charity property is about 3 miles.  On the right is a large white sign that marks the entrance.

Coming From The South:

Follow Rt. 202, 206, NJ Turnpike or Garden State Parkway to Rt. 287 North.  Continue on Rt. 287 North to exit 26B for Bernardsville/Mt. Airy Road.  At the end of the exit ramp continue straight.  As you approach the traffic light, bear right immediately before you reach the light.  This road, County Route 525, leads into Bernardsville.  At the next light, go about 3 miles to the entrance of the Sisters of Christian Charity which is on the right.

By Train:

NJ TRANSIT from Hoboken, Newark, or other New Jersey points to Morristown or Bernardsville.  (PATH operates a rapid transit system between New York and New Jersey).  Then by taxi to Villa Pauline.

By Bus:

Lakeland Bus from Port Authority to Morristown or Bernardsville, then take a taxi to Villa Pauline.  It is advisable, especially when traveling from Bernardsville, to call the taxi company a day in advance to make reservations.
