History

The apostles told Jesus all they had done and taught.  Then he said to them, "You must come apart to an out-of-the-way place by yourselves and rest for a while."  - Mark 6:30

The Purpose of the Pauline House is
w to provide a place for solitude that nourishes
      contemplation
w to affirm the need for active religious
to "go apart from time to time
for reflection and prayerful listening to the Word of God
so that one may return to community and ministry with
an ever-deepening commitment & loving response
w to provide a place for others to also "go apart" and
listen more deeply to the sound of God's Word in their
      lives.
